About me
My journey into motorsport didn’t start the usual way: it started with a desire to spend more time with my father. That birthday surprise, my first go-kart, changed everything. What began as a weekend hobby quickly turned into a lifelong passion. From the local tracks in the Netherlands to the top step of the podium as a World Karting Champion, I learned early on that success is built through hard work and having the right mindset. Transitioning to single-seaters, I pushed myself to the limit, securing the Formula 4 title and achieving a career-defining victory at the legendary Macau F3 World Cup.
After that I’ve been fortunate enough to race several years in Formula 2, gaining experience on the highest level. Coming back ‘home’ to my team MP Motorsport for my last F2 season resulted in a 3rd place finish in the championship. Today, I am proud to be supported by McLaren Racing as part of their Driver Development Programme while competing in the ELMS championship in the LMP2 category.
